Born in London, Brian moved to Hamburg in 2008 and began working as a freelance journalist, translator, and author. In 2015, he became a British-German dual national. The author of three books and countless articles about Germany, Brian has been providing expert opinion and analysis for The Local on the big issues in Germany since 2021.
