TELL US: How hard is it to get a residence permit in Germany?

Many foreigners struggle with the process of applying for and renewing residence permits in Germany. We want to know how hard is it where you live – and what's your advice for others?

Whether trying to extend a residence permit through the LEA in Berlin or facing long waits for an appointment at the Ausländerbehörde in Stuttgart, or Nuremberg, or elsewhere... Foreigners across Germany often struggle with the process of getting the right paperwork from authorities in a timely and fair manner.
