The number of new swine flu cases has doubled in the last two days, national disease control and prevention agency the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported on Monday.
Three more people died of the A/H1N1 virus in Germany on Friday, including for the first time, a person with no underlying health problems, authorities reported.
The chairman of Germany's official vaccination committee (STIKO) has told doctors to have themselves immunised against the H1-N1 virus whatever their personal opinions on the vaccine, it emerged Saturday.
The German Medical Association said Tuesday it was angered by reports that government workers will receive a special swine flu vaccination and said it should be given to high risk groups instead.
