I'm a little surprised it's not a higher number of applications for US citizens. They are seeing the raise of fascism in real time. Add to that: ICE has unalived citizens in cold blood. They hunt latinos like they are all criminals. The government raised the quotas to denaturalize 200-300/month now. Makes perfect sense to me that people are looking to leave, who would want to live under all that? If the midterms go sideways, I'd bet that number goes up and/or people start looking for other ways to get out.
