US moves a step closer to closing consulates in Germany

US residents and visitors in certain parts of Germany may soon be stripped of quick access to essential services as Washington moved a step closer to closing three consulates in the country.

Losing the consulates will hinder US intelligence data gathering from locally based assets and will be one of unplanned downsides that the current administration are either ignorant of or wish to silence because the data filtering back does not agree with the administration’s set view of the world.
