The Super Bowl is among the bigger annual sporting events, and for American football fans in Germany, it’s a late-night spectacle worth watching.Â
Super Bowl LIX will be held on Sunday, February 9th in the USA, but in Germany it'll take place during the early hours of Monday, February 10th, 2025. The kick-off is set for 5:30 pm local time, which equates to 12:30 am in Germany.
This year’s final, held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, will see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in what is effectively a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl.
The entire event is expected to last around four hours, including commercial breaks, halftime performances, and possible overtime.

So where can you watch it? Whether you prefer to stay home or join other fans at a bar or event, here’s how to catch the Super Bowl 2025 in Germany.
How to watch the Super Bowl on TV or online
This year RTL will broadcast the Super Bowl live on TV, with pre-game coverage starting from 11:15 pm.
Or, you can stream the game online at the same time, via RTL+ or DAZN.
Both RTL+ and DAZN require paid subscriptions. but the DAZN subscription is quite a bit pricier.
If you're new to the service you can start a free 30-day trial of RTL+, after which a basic monthly subscription costs €5.99.
Alternatively DAZN will be streaming the NFL final with it's original American commentary, and offers a one-time viewing ticket for the Super Bowl for €0.99 if you prefer not to sign up for the monthly service.
Where to watch the Super Bowl in German cities
If you’d rather enjoy the Super Bowl with fellow fans, some bars, pubs, and event venues across the Bundesrepublik will host special viewing parties. Note that some events will cost an entry fee. If you're planning to attend with a group, you'd be well advised to call ahead to ask about details and reservations.

NFL Germany has chosen this location - usually used by gamers and e-sports players - for the official watch party in Berlin. The game will be broadcast in English, and you can also expect a DJ set, a football quiz show and some special guests.Â

Munich: Gloria Filmpalast
If you want to see the Super Bowl live on the big screen, you can catch the game at Gloria Filmpalast cinema in Munich.

See a "cult game in the cult restaurant" is how the editors at Holidaycheck.de described this one. It does seem like a fitting Super Bowl celebration for Hamburg's St. Pauli district.

Leipzig: Felsenkeller
Felsenkeller is typically home to a ballroom, a restaurant, a beer garden and a dance hall, but on February 9th it will also have a pop-up sports arena for the Super Bowl event.
