One thing that we've found very confusing is how different countries are dealing with language requirements for Brits with WA rights. I'm likely to get a disability exemption, but we've delayed applying for permanent residency in Italy as my language skills aren't at A2 level, despite a native speaking son and my partner at B2 or above. We've since learnt that under our WA rights, we don't need to pass a language test as we're treated the same as EU citizens. I wish this would be explained in more detail and more people covered what our WA rights provide. If we'd had known we would have applied straight away for permanent residency instead of waiting for my exemption.

The language test (Dansk 3) required for permanent residency, is that at a B2 level under the CEFR? Anyone know?
