Amazon’s Music Unlimited music streaming service includes more than 40 million songs with a free 30-day trial on offer and at a rate of €7.99 per month for Prime members. And users who only use the service with Amazon’s Echo hands-free speaker system will pay €3.99 per month.
Amazon Music Unlimited launches in Germany
The on-demand music streaming service officially launched its services in Germany on Monday, hoping to make a dent in the competition against Spotify and Apple.
Non-Prime members would pay €9.99 per month, or the same price as Spotify’s subscription service, Premium.
Â
“We think customers will love our new service,” said Amazon Music vice president Steve Boom.
Â
Music Unlimited was already launched in the US last month and has now also expanded into Austria and the UK.
Â
Amazon’s new offer includes playlists, radio stations, and starting in summer 2017, will livestream Bundesliga football matches.
Â
Head of digital music in Germany, René Fasco, said Music Unlimited's target audience is a bit older than that of its Swedish competitor, Spotify.
